The First Pathway:
“I Welcome The Opportunities Life Offers Me To Choose Love.”
It didn’t take me long to become a student of Cinnamon H. Lofton and transform my life. I had suffered enough. The Five Pathways To Ultimate Surrender were channeled by my mentor, and the First Pathway is all about saying, “YES!” To welcome life’s opportunities and trust in the spiritual nature of life. To not need it to be any other way than it is. In the early stages of teacher training, this pathway was an easy one for me when I deemed the opportunity as “good,” but when the I deemed it as “bad,” forget about it. It then became an obstacle, a hurdle, or even my enemy. Needing my life’s circumstances to be different than they were, only created a hole that could never be filled.
Through challenging times and the help from a teacher who had gone to hell and back, I began to see how everything is here for us-not against us. Cinnamon helped me to become less afraid of cancer, and to see the “what is” of life through different lenses. To look at it as an opportunity to show myself how brave and big I can be versus looking at it as a challenge or obstacle to resist. I may have had many years with the big “C” word, but it didn’t have to have me. With more practice, I began to see the value in wanting what I was needing for my spiritual growth. I did not want cancer, but the more I surrendered to the what is of my plight, the more peaceful I became. The happier I became, the more I was also willing to welcome opportunities in my troubling marriage and the developmental challenges with our son.
In this period of transformation, I learned how to manage the whims of my ego by following the Five Pathways To Ultimate Surrender, and how choosing love is the only path to my personal freedom. By using my life as an example, you (the reader) could create the willingness to see that you too can tap into your divinity, especially when you welcome (not resist) the opportunities life is offering you to choose love.
